Laura Neuman was selected as Director and CEO of Howard County’s Economic Development Authority on March 4, 2011. Prior to her acceptance of this position, Ms. Neuman held many professional leadership roles including:
Ms. Neuman has received numerous awards and recognition, including Most Influential Marylander, Top 100 Women in Maryland, Trailblazer by the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Spirited Woman of Baltimore, In Balance. She was co‐chair of the NAF Academy School in Baltimore, bringing business and education together in the public school system and is a former member of the Governors Workforce Task Force on Technology. In addition, she has served as an advisor to a number of the region’s fastest growing companies and currently serves on the board of the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship.
Ms. Neuman holds a Masters in Business Administration from Loyola University in Maryland and completed the Executive Program at Stanford Business School.
Ms. Neuman also serves as a role model for rape victims; speaking out on the crime and helping to get
important DNA legislation passed to keep criminals behind bars.
